Chicago Picasso Fused Glass Catch-all Dish
Fused glass catch-all dishes featuring your favorite Chicago landmarks - part of an ever growing series!
This catch-all features the Picasso sculpture in Daley Plaza (with the word "Chicago" hidden in the top left corner), screen printed in black and tan enamels onto transparent bronze glass, with a 1/4" coordinating strip of opaque black, then fused in a kiln to about 1400 degrees. The piece was then cold worked on a glass saw and/or grinder, then returned to the kiln to slump into it's final shape.
It is screen printed, kiln formed glass, 4.5" square and slumped into a sushi-style mold making it about 3/4" high at the corners. Catch-alls are great for tossing your coins and keys into, hold rings and earrings, candles, soap, make cute appetizer plates, great spoon rests and decorative accents. They are food safe and we recommend hand washing, though they can go in the dishwasher.
